Refunds

Items purchased from The Solent Quilter shop where fabric is cut to your requirement, (for example bolt fabric, quilt kits, and sale items) are not eligible for a refund.

To return eligible items (such as pre-cut fat quarter wonder packs) you have 10 days from when you receive your order to return it in its original condition. Email me as soon as possible within this time frame with your order details and reason for requesting a return to info@thesolentquilter.shop.
 
Once the return has been been received I will refund you as quickly as possible (within two working days) and you will be notified once this is completed. All refunds are returned to the original payment method used. Refunds vary depending on your bank, but typically take 5- 10 working days to show up in your account. 
Customers are responsible for paying their own shipping costs for returning any item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping will be deducted from your refund. I recommend using a tracked service as I'm unable to refund you for items that I do not get back.

Purchasing fabric and quilt kits online 

Buying fabric online can be difficult because fabric colours can appear different to each person depending on what display they are using.

I do my best to ensure that photographs represent accurately the fabrics that form part of the quilt kit on my website. However, due to differences in display screen settings, the colours of the fabric may differ slightly between photos and the physical product. It can impact on the fabrics colour, warmth, tone, brightness, vibrancy.
I am not in control of these factors so you need to be aware of this before you buy.
If you contact me to request a refund due to slight variations in colour tone or vibrancy it may be rejected. If you have any concerns or questions regarding the fabric colours please contact me before you place an order. If you agree to pay for postage costs I may be able to send a small fabric sample before you buy your desired amount.

Pre washing fabrics

Quilt kits are priced and cut to the fabric requirements in the pattern. It is assumed that the fabrics will not be pre washed. Although Art Gallery Fabrics have one of the lowest shrinkage rates in the industry 1-2% if you have pre washed your fabrics and it leaves you with not enough fabric for piecing requirements for the kit then please contact me. I may be able to provide you with additional fabric depending on availability, but you will need to purchase any additional fabric.
Pre washing is a discretionary decision of the quilter and therefore will not be accepted as a reasonable case for a refund.
 

Exchanges

I only accept exchanges for incorrect items being sent in my error or for a damaged product. I am unable to accept returns or exchanges because of customer error, change of mind or buyer remorse.

Please check your fabric as soon as you receive it. I endeavour to ensure that no mistakes are made when preparing orders but in the rare occurrence that an error has been made or the fabric has been marked or damaged in transit then please email info@thesolentquilter.shop and send a photo of the wrong or damaged item. I will try to replace it however if the item is no longer available an alternative can be offered or a refund.

If an exchange for an incorrect order or damaged product has been accepted then you have 10 days from when you received your order, to return it. Please obtain proof of postage and email a photo of the receipt to info@thesolentquilter.co.uk with your name and order number. If any items are received back after 10 days may not be accepted for a refund.
